General - I have a disability/limitation, can I still participate?

Of course! You are more than welcome to participate in the AID!

We want everyone to join the AID and have a great time. However, some people feel that participating in the AID can be very overwhelming. We want everyone to feel included and heard, so that is why we are now offering for the first time to join a neurodiverse group. This includes that you group will (mostly) consist of people who are neurodiverse and mentors who know what you might be going through. This will hopefully ensure that there is a safe space in your group to talk about your needs if you require more time to process stimuli for example. If you feel like this neurodiverse group is a good fit for you, you can choose to join a neurodiverse mentor group when you register for the AID.

We would also like to point out that if someone does feel overwhelmed and wants to go to a space that is more quiet, we offer a room inside Forum on the campus where people can go. Moreover, during the festival on the last evening we will provide some headphones at the chill area. But you could also take your own with you if you want some time to catch a break and relax without a lot of background noise.

If you have a food allergy, you can mention it when you register in the registration form, and it will be taken into account, so you don't need to worry.

If you still have concerns you would like to talk about if you have a physical disability for example, we would like to get in touch with you to see if and how we can help you during the AID. It is very important that you can enjoy the AID to the fullest. Mail to info.aid@wur.nl, so we can discuss your options with you.
