People with many different religious backgrounds are living in Wageningen.
Christianity is the main religion in the Netherlands. But, there are a lot of other religious groups in Wageningen, and you will get to know all of them during the AID. Furthermore, remember that you do not have to join all program parts if this is not in accordance with your religion.
Religious Day
On August 15th, between the two AID's, a Religious Day will also take place. The Religious Day will be in the Spot in Orion. Christian, Muslim and Buddhist students will take turns organizing a moment of welcome, prayer and contemplation in an Out of This World kind of way. The program will be as follows:

Welcome Service Big Church (Market Place) from 12:00
Students are welcome in the Welcome Service organized by all the Christian groups and associations. It takes place in the Big Church (Grote Kerk) on the market place in the center of Wageningen.
Doors open at 12:00. After the service there will be a meet & greet where new students can learn about the many activities and groups to join in Wageningen.

A Tour of Wageningen for Muslim students starting at 12:30 from Student Plaza
Muslim students are welcome to join a bicycle tour introducing the hallal shops and restaurants and including a stop at the Mosque to have a prayer together. After the prayer you are invited for a sharing event at Torckpark (until 15:00).
No registration needed, simply be there in time at Student Plaza.
